Moving teeth without a thorough exam of the overall health of the teeth and gums can result in permanent loss of teeth, which in turn will result in expensive and lifelong dental problems. Orthodontists receive two to three years of specialized education and training beyond dental school to become experts in straightening teeth and aligning your bite.
