Throughout his life, Dr. Kraig Kottemann has seen first-hand the amazing effects that orthodontic treatment has in the lives of patients. To begin his orthodontic career, Dr. Kottemann attended the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a double degree in Biology and Art Studio. He continued on to the University of Arizona School of Dentistry for his Doctorate of Dental Medicine, and completed his formal education at the University of Minnesota, receiving his Master of Science degree and Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Kottemann is passionate about the new technologies that have been recently incorporated in the orthodontic profession, making treatment times shorter and much more comfortable for patients. He continued his education, focusing on the advancements in new wires, temporary anchorage devices, and laser treatment, which continues to make orthodontic treatment exciting and brings new challenges to the field.

When he’s not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Kottemann enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, a pediatric dentist in the Anoka area. They have eight-year-old twin girls, Valerie and Olivia, and an incredibly naughty puppy named Louie. They are also ecstatic to be welcoming a baby boy to the family in October! Dr. Kottemann spends most of his time chasing his kids around the house, but does enjoy basketball, water sports, and playing golf when he gets the chance.
